Lauren Smith

< < Lauren is an illustration student from Gloucestershire, with a background in fine art and realism portraiture, who has since expanded her skillset to illustration and printmaking. Storytelling is at the heart of Lauren's work; her current influences range from fairy tales to mythology to gothic fiction. As part of her final project Lauren has handmade and screen printed a 17th century bodice to explore how narrative can be conveyed through print.

> > Pete is an illustrator and 3D artist. He is currently developing the board game Pandemonium, a 4 player arena fighting game. Pete’s work is generally madcap and zany, with hints of satire and gonzo.

Sylvia Miko

> > Sylvia is an artist and children’s illustrator. She loves creating by playing. Sylvia experiments a lot with connecting different media. Currently, she is fascinated working with watercolours, crayons and posca pens. She creates her illustrations with bright colours and textures. For her final project, she made a children's book where they can find comfort in tough times as well as answers to hard-to-talk topics like cancer and disability. Recently, Sylvia discovered her passion for creating patterns which opened her practice to new opportunities.

< < Kira is an Illustrator from the Forest Of Dean who takes joy in producing portraits and all things realism. However, experimenting with other medias, Kira’s final project is an attempt to create a nostalgic connection, through the portrayal of her own family life, using screen print.

Lucy Ball

<< Lucy likes to illustrate strange and silly made-up characters and environments inspired by all kinds of stuff she finds in the world around her, especially music, fashion and the ocean. From this, she decided to focus on concept art for a hypothetical futuristic/fantasy RPG-style video game, creating a detailed world, including all of its unusual little inhabitants. She plans to continue this project after university, taking her world-building even further.

Leon Dale

< < Leon is an illustrator from the West Midlands & living differently with autism, he has been able to have conversations and talk via illustration that wouldn't have been possible otherwise. Working within different creative materials, he mostly defaults to mixing traditional and digital skills together to create his works. He is exhibiting later this year for the first time in Bristol.

> > Lily is an illustrator from Bristol, she uses a combination of traditional and digital art in her artworks. Focusing on designing captivating and vibrant characters, her ‘Final Major Project’ involves personifying mental illness while also being informative on the specific illness.

Clare Chamberlain

Clare often works using oil paints and mixed media methods to create scenes focused on everyday life. By recreating and reinterpreting old childhood photographs, her recent work focused on childhood nostalgia and birthday parties. She aimed to capture a whimsical and childlike approach to art through both abstract and realism methods.
